U.S. Intercollegiate Doubles to be Held Alongside U.S. Open

The thirtieth annual Intercollegiate Doubles Championships will be held October 10-12 in Philadelphia, PA, during the 2014 Delaware Investments U.S. Open.  The tournament will be co-hosted by the Racquet Club of Philadelphia and the Germantown Cricket Club.

In 2013, Princeton University’s Maria Elena Ubina collected two winners trophies in her first mixed and women’s doubles final appearances, while the United States Naval Academy’s Hunter Beck and Andrew McGuinness collected the service academy’s first national individual title in an all-Navy final.

The participants of this years men’s and women’s draws will be offered free entry to participate in the U.S. Squash Doubles Championships in Philadelphia, PA, March 29-31, 2015, and the mixed participants will be offered free entry into the U.S. Mixed Squash Doubles Championships in Greenwich, CT, October 31-November 2, 2014.  

There is no entry fee for the Intercollegiate Doubles and each school is guaranteed at least one team in the men’s, women’s and mixed divisions.
 
The 2014 U.S. Open Squash Championships will also be held in Philadelphia, PA, (Drexel University) from October 9-18, 2014. All entrants in the 2014 Intercollegiate Doubles Championships will receive complementary tickets for the U.S. Open.

There are two collegiate events for added doubles preparation leading up to the Intercollegiate Doubles Championships.  The first is a new one day event at Berwyn Squash & Fitness Club Saturday, September 13, with no entry fee for all college squash players.  The second is the M4 hosted by Meadow Mill September 26-28.  Both entry forms can be found on the tournament information pages linked below.
