U.S. Open to Host Inaugural Doubles Day October 7

The US Squash doubles community will be recognized at the inaugural Doubles Day during the first round of the 2017 U.S. Open presented by Macquarie Investment Management Saturday, October 7, at Drexel University in Philadelphia.

National doubles champions from the 2016-2017 season are invited to celebrate last season and the beginning of the 2017-2018 season during the first day of main draw play on the ASB GlassCourt. All attending national doubles champions will be recognized on the glass court after the 3:30pm match.

Doubles Day also highlights the 2017 U.S. Intercollegiate Squash Doubles Championships, which are taking place at Germantown Cricket Club October 6-8.

The Squash Doubles Association Pro Tour will present their 2016-2017 awards after the 4:30pm men’s match on the glass court. Using a new, professional grade radar gun, SDA and PSA players will have a chance to break the world record for hardest-hit ball on the glass court following the 5:30pm match.
